Long Weekend

Although it did not look like we would make it,(due to a snowstorm passing through) we did get to Regina this holiday weekend. I hadn't seen my family since last July so I was really glad I could go. We had some baking and cooking to do before we went though, and of course that Bunny had to make a stop to take away the colored eggs and leave a few delicious treats in their stead.

Neither Athena nor I are great travellers. Well let me rephrase that. We travel well but don't sleep well in hotels. We both love our sleep. After a long sleepless night we sleepily faced our day. She went swimming in the hotel pool with her Daddy and we went to the Natural History Museum. She loved the earth science stuff. It is what we studied this past year and she also enjoyed the First Nations exhibits immensely. So did I.

But the best part of the weekend was visiting family. She got to spend some time with her cousin Ella. Lots of fun. I don't think they had one disagreement. We didn't even know they were there, they played so well.

We had some good food and lots of good conversation. My little brother hosted and he had some golf game on his huge TV. Volume off of course. When I teased him about it he said that the warranty on his big screen would be void should he ever shut it off. ;)

We drove home after dinner all good and tired and full of gratitude for family. Oh, and dark chocolate of course.

Looks like a fine weekend with family - I took Owen to the coast to meet up with family for an Easter lunch.

That is the mother lode of chocolate!!!!!
