H1N1 Survey

I, like everyone else, have been hearing and reading a lot about the H1N1 virus and how it is supposed spread quickly and fiercely. We are urged to get the vaccine by health and government officials.
My question today is:

Will you be getting the H1N1 vaccine?

So anyone who happens to stop by today, even if you have never commented before, please leave a comment along with where you live and tell me if you will get it or not. If you are so inclined, feel free to support your decision here too.

Thank you.

As you know, no one in our house will be getting it either.

Though very healthy, I've been prone to bronchitis and pneumonia since I was young.

Given my medical history, the flu can lead to more serious upper respiratory infections, so I've been receiving flu shots for over 10 years.

I've never had a reaction and most importantly, I've never had the flu since I started receiving the shots.

To guard against H1N1, I will be getting vaccinated, plus I'm doing daily neti (nasal washes with sea-salt water), taking supplements and washing my hands like an obsessive person.

No one in my house will be getting the vaccine, but we have stepped up precautions to stay healthy this year.

I am certain that I will NOT be getting the vaccine. I feel that the media sometimes blows things out of proportion. I hope I am not mistaken! I am taking vitamins and trying to get myself healthy and washing my hands, and taking all the precautions, and even saying a few prayers as well.

It's a personal choice, but I will definitely get it. I am a teacher and I'm exposed to millions of germs. I also have asthma. My son (11 months) will also be getting it, and my husband (clinical mental health therapist) will as well. I do not think, though, that it should be made mandatory.

We are still on the fence. We have two young children (21 months & 7 months) and this is the only reason we are considering it. We would feel horrible if something happened and we could have prevented it with a simple vaccine. If we didn't have kids we would not consider it but because of how easy it is to spread germs with kids we are kinda thinking that we should....
